“A Very Plain Demonstration of her Malice”
Jenean Hall discusses two letters from the letterbook of Thomas Cable, an 18th-century merchant and Court Clerk of Northampton County. These two letters address what Cable perceived as a personal attack on his family, especially on his wife (Sorrowful Margaret Custis) and her oldest daughter (Ann Kendall).
