The mission of the Cape Charles Memorial Library is to offer patrons a window on a larger world, providing resources to educate and to stimulate.

The Cape Charles Memorial Library is affiliated with the Eastern Shore Regional Library & Heritage Center in Parksley, Virginia and shares its collection through an Internet catalog.  Two weekly delivery/pickup services allow material to move between locations.

The Friends of the Cape Charles Memorial Library are dedicated to making the Cape Charles Memorial Library a better place for everyone. The Friends is an all volunteer organization responsible for promoting the library, sponsoring cultural programs for the community, providing funds to enhance the library collection and visitor experience.

The Friends provide valuable support for library services and they are always looking for and welcome  new volunteers! Members help through a program of volunteer, promotional, and fundraising activities.
