Eastern Shore of Virginia Regional Library is hosting its first Author Talk event on September 28th at 4 p.m. in the Dennis R. Custis Lecture Hall. Join as Susan Friedland, author of Marguerite, Misty and Me, and Kendy Allen, personal friend of Marguerite, and author of Swim, Pony, Swim, discuss Susan’s historical research for her book and Kendy’s personal relationship with Marguerite. Ms. Allen will bring a Chincoteague pony to visit the library for the event.
Susan Friedland’s love for horses has been an inspiration in writing many of her books. She also documents her adventures and research on saddleseekshorse.com
Kendy Allen is the founder and coach for the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team who purchased Misty II in the late 1980s from Marguerite.
Susan Friedland and Kendy Allen will have books available to be signed following the talk.
