System Monthly Report <click here>

2020 brings many new opportunities for the Shore’s public libraries.  By the end of this year, we should be in our new regional library and Eastern Shore of Virginia Heritage Center in Parksley.  This will enable us to serve our community in new ways and better than ever.  As the system headquarters, it will enable us to improve technical and administrative support to the public libraries in Cape Charles, Chincoteague, and Nassawadox.  Shore nonprofits will be able to use our new meeting rooms.  Children will grow learning to love reading.

I recently introduced four new initiatives to my board:

  1. Create a culture of reading on the Eastern Shore.
  2. Build nonprofit capacity on the Eastern Shore.
  3. Create a Heritage Hub.
  4. Increase system capacity.

Your contribution enhances our resources to meet goals to fulfill these initiatives.  Please do not hesitate to contact me to learn more.
